Rugby League
The STACC Rugby League Program is designed to not only improve the skills associated with Rugby League, but to educate the young men of the program about what it takes to be a contributing person in our community.
Throughout the program, students will engage in activities that take them out of their comfort zone, both on and off the field. The program runs from the beginning of Term 1 until the end of Term 3 and involves various opportunities for experiences against local school teams in various formats.
Athletic Development:
- Teaching advanced skills
- Strength and Conditioning
- Teaching athletes about the importance of preparation for training, games, school, dieting, etc.
- Instilling core values of Rugby League and the St Andrew’s Way - Sacrifice, Trust, Achievement, Community and Courage.
- Athletes will be held accountable through tracking their performance on field and during gym sessions.
- Beyond the Goal Post Program (referee course)
Rugby League Opportunities 2024:
Over the course of the year, players will have the opportunity to participate in coaching sessions, gala days and after-school fixtures.

- Beyond the Goal Post Program – students receive a referee qualification.
- NRL Game Development Officer hosted fields session.
Player Commitment:
- Attending compulsory sessions
- Involvement in teams for competitions and gala days
- Meeting schooling requirements (academics, attendance, behaviours,etc.)
