St Andrew’s College’s strong community vision gave rise to the Joint Facilities Project with Cairns Regional Council and the State Government.
After five years of encouragement, collaboration, planning and commitment the Cairns Regional Council and the State Government formed a partnership by contributing $1.9 million to build the Redlynch Community Sports Facility, with the Catholic Diocese of Cairns, on St Andrew’s Catholic College land.
The key element of this joint funding was that the sports facility was available for use by community groups such as local soccer, netball and rugby clubs
