College Choir Auditions

Calling all singers in Years 3 to 12!

Choir Auditions are taking place in Weeks 1 and 2 for our two choirs - “Nothing But Treble” (The old Junior Choir, Years 3–5) and “Voices Of St Andrews - VOSTA” (the old Middle Senior Choir, Years 6–12). 

Auditions are open to everyone (boys and girls) even if you have never sung in a choir before, and are required for everyone, even if you have sung in the choirs in previous years.

Auditions are done in small groups, singers are not required to prepare anything in advance.  In the audition you will be taught a short piece of music to sing and do a few exercises to determine your range and pitching ability.

Auditions are on Wednesday after school for ‘Nothing But Treble’ and Thursday after school for ‘VOSTA’.  Sign up outside the Music Department.

Fridays Period 1 - Nothing But Treble

Thursday 3–4pm - VOSTA.

Opportunities for the choirs in 2019 include hosting and singing with Australia’s national children’s choir Gondwana Voices in the middle of the year, competing in the Cairns Junior Eisteddfod, (joint larger Scale) community concert and performing at special occasions at school and in the community.
