St Andrew’s Catholic College welcomes international students from all countries.
International students are warmly embraced by our community and are encouraged to participate fully in school life. We are committed to ensuring our international students settle in comfortably and are well supported and cared for during their stay.
The College is bound by the National Code of Practice for the Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students. The National Code is a set of nationally consistent standards that

The Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Cairns trading as St Andrew’s Catholic College, Redlynch Valley (CRICOS No: 02256D) is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students to provide the following courses:

2. 052772C – Secondary Education Years 7 – 10

St Andrew’s Catholic College does not actively market for international students and currently depends on word-of-mouth recommendations from its past and current international students and families. For further information please refer to our Agents Policy below.
Curriculum and Co-curricular
St Andrew’s Catholic College enrols international students from Prep to 12. Students are offered a wide and varied academic curriculum which allows them to reach their full potential. A range of co-curricular activities are offered to students as part of the holistic curriculum and students are encouraged to participate in these. Eg. Duke of Edinburgh awards, district sports, special masses and community service.
Senior students are prepared for the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in Years 10 - 12, under the auspices of the Queensland Department of Education and Training and the Queensland Studies Authority respectively.

English Proficiency and Assessment
St Andrew’s Catholic College requires evidence of sufficient proficiency in English to successfully meet the curriculum demands or the enrolled course. This may be evidence of
Students who speak English as a second language (ESL) may require pre-testing and additional ESL support. This can be provided at an additional cost.
St Andrew’s Catholic College prefers to interview and test our international students before issuing the necessary papers for them to apply for a Student Visa.
